Multiple Grammy winner Lionel Richie is coming to the Atlantis Paradise Island to headline the Bahamas resort's "Dancing on the Sand," a weekend-long music event scheduled for Nov. 30 to Dec. 3. Also taking the stage during the event are Sheryl Crow, Nile Rodgers and Chic, Vanessa Carlton, Megan Moroney and Jake Wesley Rogers.
The event is being held in conjunction with Vibee, Live Nation's new destination/music experience company.
Among the activities planned are a Sunset Soiree kick-off party; a Hollywood Affair event, where guests will walk the red carpet; and a Rewind Revue '80s dance party. There will also be pool parties held daily at the Atlantis Baths Colonnade. Guests will also have the opportunity to sit in on a Q&A session with Richie, where he will share his favorite stories from his career. VIP add-ons available for guests include spa packages, aquatic activities, rounds of golf, private rum tastings and a meet-and-greet session with Richie as well as Crow.
"I'm beyond excited to spend the weekend with my fans beachside in the Bahamas later this year," said Richie. "We've personally curated 'Dancing on the Sand,' a concert destination experience that I'll be headlining, joined by phenomenal performances by some very talented friends of mine, so this party will be going 'All Night Long'"!
Richie has sold more than 125 million albums and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year. During the course of his career he has also received a number of accolades including four Grammys, a Golden Globe and an Oscar.
Tickets start at $1,940 per person for the Coral Jet Setter Package, which includes a three-night stay at Atlantis, entry to all concert performances, access to a Lionel Richie-hosted sit-down conversation and exclusive pool parties.
